Filming Progress Check 1

 Filming Progress Check 1

Today, my power cable for my monitor arrived today. It came in a very simple box and I took the cables out right away. I tried plugging the cable into my old monitor. As I had hoped for, the cable fits and my monitor is now being used by my brother. I am glad it works again and that we have the necessary equipment to start filming in my room. Clearly we need to set up a date and my environment so it can look professional. I also do need my Fortnite content recorded first because the content will be displayed on our screens when we film in my room. The Fortnite content should take maybe one or two weeks to get all the recordings completed. School will be starting on January 4th and on school days there is not a lot of time I can be playing games.

Also, I played today with my brother who will be being my duo partner. We tested our recordings, and they look fine. We clipped both of our recordings. I have downloaded both of our recordings of one of the 1v1 fights we did in game to practice. The recordings could look much better. I don't want to ask too much of my brother, though I want for both of us to get a free screen-recorder that records in higher qualities. I could definitely tell that our customized stream settings did not appear in the actual stream. The 1080p and 60 FPS I had put for my stream did not look as well as I expected it to. The video's resolution looked pretty low and the recording had drops in the 60 FPS I wanted. I am glad we can actually record this part of the film easily. It only took me and him to clip this part of the pre-edited film in 15 minutes. Of course when we actually get into public matches, it will take longer. With practice, we can pull off the clips we need without that many problems. I will again blog again tomorrow, see you soon on Happy New Years!

Social Media Improvements

 Social Media Improvements

Today, I figured it would be a great idea to work on the studio's social media. I decided to post a picture of myself, one of the two main actors, on the studio's Instagram, nirascreationhub. This is my first post on there and providing more content to my audience is a great way to connect better with them. I would have been blogging about my monitor more today, but unexpectedly I realized that my new power cable will be coming tomorrow. I have checked a few times out my door expecting a delivery today. I also have come across the absence of a logo for the film. Some films have their own logo, and it would look nice for my film to have one as well. Also the studio's logo needs a new profile picture on social media because it does not look professional enough in my opinion. Overall, my Instagram is looking better, though I also have to start Tweeting more and posting on Facebook. I will post videos on YouTube of things like the teaser trailer, trailer, and maybe a few clips of the film. YouTube is the social media account that I will be posting the least on for my film.
Next, I have also worked on my website today. Since I posted a picture of myself on Instagram, I put a similar picture up on my studio's website. On the page "Cast and Crew", I put pictures of both myself and my brother on there. We are both the main actors for the film and we both have important roles in the studio. I filled out a description for both of us and we both have our own personal quotes listed there as well. Since the last time I worked on the website was a while ago, I shall work more on the social medias to make my connection to my audience stronger. To my surprise, my website has received interactions. There have been exactly 34 traffic cases in the month of December, which makes it seem like people are getting interested in my film. This is great news, which shows that my work is being noticed by people. My studio's social media will be having more content soon and I will blog yet again tomorrow, see you soon!

Music Choice Selection Progress Check 2

Music Choice Selection Progress Check 2

Yesterday I mentioned that I would blog about my music choice selection progress today. Here I am with not a lot of new information about it. I had sent an email previously to a band called EMPiRE to ask them if I can use use one of their songs in my short film. It had been sent in English, so I decided to try translating my writing into Japanese via Google Translate. I sent them a new email, which is now in Japanese. I tried making it more formal and to the point, and I hope it worked. I am not even sure if they are the ones I should be contacting, though it was a good idea to send two emails to them. I will be checking my email many times in the next month or two for any response from them. Hopefully, I get a response that at least directs me to what email I should contact for permission to use their song in my film.

In the last hour, I have also decided to go to the internet for help again. I have sent out a post on Reddit asking for a simple way to get permission to use a copyrighted song in my content. I have listed some specific details on it, though I left the topic broad enough so that I have a higher chance of getting a response. There is also another Q&A website that I use called Quora. I have just now posted the same question there so that I can have more luck in getting the response I want. I definitely believe Quora will provide a better and faster response than Reddit. Until it comes, I will keep on thinking about other songs to use for my film. I am an anime fan, which means I have many good songs in mind that I can try using in my film. I will keep on working on my music choice selection.

Regarding my filming, my new power cable will be arriving shortly and I hope it works. I will most likely start recording the majority of my Fortnite content tomorrow when I am not busy. I will blog again tomorrow, see you soon!

Filming Setup Completion Progress Check

Filming Setup Completion Progress Check

Just earlier, I have officially ordered my monitor's power cable. I have blogged before that my old monitor needs a power cable that is currently missing. I took the initiative to check the specifications of what power cable I need and searched online for a good one for around 10-15 minutes. I have found one that suits the port on my old monitor and I ordered it. I really thought that ordering the cable now is a great idea as New Years is around the corner and it would suck if my package contributed to make someone stay away from home for the New Years celebration. It will be coming on Tuesday, which is two days from now, and a few minutes exactly. Now with the cable coming and my old monitor will finally be able to turn on again, I have made progress.

Regarding the Fortnite content, my friend and I confirmed to each other that he will be able to help me to produce the content. It will go well and I hope the quality of the recordings will look amazing. When I have time next month, I will be surely able to start recording. I need to organize a date, my room, and the specifications of how we look and our equipment.

Yesterday, I blogged about my music selection progress that ties in with my editing process for my film. So far there has been no feedback on my requests from the producers and publishers of a few songs to be able to use them in my film. I hope I can at least use one or two copyrighted songs that I feel will match my film very much. I shall keep searching for new songs to use and I will keep emailing the necessary people to get permission to use their songs. Recently, I have come across an ad on YouTube about a service that gives you access to unlimited amounts of songs to use for your content by giving you different licenses. It costs money and I am thinking about if I should use it. I really am not sure if when my possible subscription to it ends, my license for permission to use copyrighted songs in my content ends as well. I will find out more information and if it seems reasonable, I shall use it if I really need it. Until the time comes when I really need to edit my film and I have a deadline coming up, I shall continue sending out emails for copyright access for songs. Overall, I think the progress I am making is a little bit slow, though it shall surely speed up when I get more good news on my music selection for my film. I will keep you updated again tomorrow, good bye!

The Start of my Filming

 The Start of my Filming

I have successfully started to film. Today I wanted to start filming something, at least the Fortnite content. I had asked my friends if they would be interested in helping out with this portion of the film. One of them, hopefully, will now be helping me to move on with the trial stage of filming. I had started the game and I checked my storyboard for what content I should be recording. The first thing I put was myself being eliminated in the game. Eventually, as I went into a game, I got eliminated. I recorded 9 minutes and 28 seconds of content and I only needed the last 10 seconds of the recording. When I get into the editing process is when I will be editing my recordings. I play Fortnite at 75 frames per second, because my monitor can't support more than that. Though, Fortnite is actually pushing for 120 frames per second because of my settings. This can cause "screen-tears" so that the recording may look weird. I checked the recording, and the main thing that popped out to me was the choppiness of it. The FPS, frames per second, on it is most likely 30 FPS. This would look terrible when I film myself playing the game.

Luckily, I know of another way of filming, through my Twitch streams. I can stream my game onto Twitch in 1080p and 60 FPS, which is what I want. When I finish streaming, I can download my stream and save it. I tested out this feature and I streamed in 720p and 60 FPS. When I finished the stream, and checked it over, it looked better than the other recording in terms of FPS. The resolution was not high enough, so when I will switch it to 1080p, it will look amazing. So far I have successfully completed my trial stage of filming and will now begin to film as the days go on. I am more relieved now to be past the trial stage and I can now start filming. I will blog more about other news relating to the music content soon, stay tuned!

Preparing to Film Update 2

 Preparing to Film Update 2

I have been checking my Gmail constantly to see if any of the YouTube channels and music creators/publishers responded to my requests for copyright permission. None of them have responded, which made me a little bit worried. I then took some time of my day to go on one of the songs that I believe would match my film really well. I checked the publishing company and both of them are from the Asia region I believe so I could not find them online to contact. I then went on the band's website to see if I could contact them and there I found their contact. It was in Japanese so I had to translate the page, and when I did, I saw that I could send them an email. I wrote out my message, put in my contact info, and I sent it. Hopefully they respond and hopefully allow me to use their song. I do not want to use the complete song, I only want to use the instrumental version of it. I commented under the instrumental version of the song on YouTube, though there was no response until now so I went and personally emailed the band, EMPiRE. Hopefully they respond soon and that my message will be read well because I sent it in English, not in Japanese.
Regarding my monitor situation, I have looked online for a new power cord I could use. I noticed that I have one of the pieces to the full cord, and that the other piece may just be something that I missed. I need this cable to make the monitor turn on so my brother can use it in the film. If I don't find it soon I will need to order a new cable. I really need to film soon so I can fix anything that does not look good before I can not fix it anymore. I will continue planning who will play the games and how it will go. I will continue to request songs to use earlier on so I can get their permission to use their music hopefully on time. My brother has to practice Fortnite on a controller still. I will keep my progress preparing to film as time goes on, I will blog tomorrow!

Preparing for Filming

    Preparing for Filming

My filming process has not started yet, so I am still preparing to film when I am ready to. Recently, I have been setting up a few things around my room to start filming. In my storyboard, I have drawn my room and my brother has his own gaming setup on his desk. I pulled out my old monitor last night trying to set up his setup, though I could not find the power cord to it. I checked in my closet, drawers, boxes, and cabinets for it and I have not been able to find it. I remember I wrapped it up a few months ago and put it somewhere. I am not going to be buying a new monitor for my film when I have one already, so maybe I will find it or buy a new power cord. I already have my Xbox 1 X ready for my brother to use, though he has to know how to actually play on it. I have been playing Fortnite again recently and my skills are the same as before, mediocre. To make my gameplay look good, I should get better at the game first. I also need to record my gameplay. I already have my recording software ready, though my game isn't running as well as it used to. I will go over my settings and make it run at 70 fps rather than 60 fps so it can look better.

The Xbox gameplay is already excellent and it can record a lot already, so I that is good. Once my brother learns how to play Fortnite on Xbox, we will be ready to start filming. I will most likely start filming in January after break and after we are both ready. Until then, I need to plan some more as my film will not look identical to the scenes in the storyboard as the gameplay is random. Hopefully my brother will be good at playing on controller, so I won't have to change the plot that much. I am also wondering which camera to use because my phone camera is not as good as it used to be. My mom has an awesome phone with a crisp camera, so maybe I can use hers. All these ideas and things will become organized sometime next month.

Music Choice Selection and Progress

 Music Choice Selection and Progress

Today on the last day of this year's November month, I took the time to find some music to use in my film. Last year, I used copy-right free music in my film with my partner. Now since I have more experience and I want to make my film better, I am looking for copyrighted music to use. Of course I have to ask permission and get permission from the artists to use it in my film. I first wanted to look for action music to use. When I was scrolling through my storyboard Google Slides, I noticed the scenes where I put emphasis on my computer starting up. I remembered that on my Xbox One X console, the startup is a very emphasized boom sound effect. I looked at the sound effect again and I decided it would be a good idea to use it for those scenes.

Now again back onto the action music, one of the ideas I had was to use anime music. I know Japanese music in a Fortnite film does not seem to match, though using the instrumental versions of the songs could be amazing to use in the film. I decided to check around for different anime opening instrumental versions that have good action beats and a fast paced rhythm. I looked at Black Clover openings and the first One Piece opening instrumentals and they can match the film. I am trying to find better action music, though sometimes soundtracks like these can be a great fit as well. There is also another song I tried looking into and I found a song I listen to a lot. It is under the label of action music for the anime "Seven Deadly Sins", and it is indeed a very nice song to have playing during a fight scene in the show. Though I am making a film about Fortnite and two brothers trying to win a duo tournament for money, and this fight scene music may or may not fit in the overall mood of my future film.

To first get copyright permission on the music soundtracks, I commented on two videos with instrumental anime openings to ask the channel if I need to get their permission or the original author's permission to use them. I then went on the personal website for the composer of the action song "Perfect Time", which was used in the anime "Seven Deadly Sins". I emailed him asking for permission and if I should have contacted him for permission to use the song. Overall, I am on the right track to get copyrighted music and sound effects into my film, which is a bonus. The majority of songs presently, I believe, are copyrighted and so having access to these songs is better for my film's soundtrack. I hope I get to use songs that I like and that add a good and positive mood to my film, along with the action vibe, too.

Marketing Campaign Set Up

 Marketing Campaign Set Up

I have currently set up my website for my film already. This was done before Thanksgiving Break 11/21-11/29/2020. I personally included in my website four social media links that are at the bottom of each page. I made a social media page called "Nira's Creation Hub", which is my studio name, on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. My website currently includes the name of the film, a synopsis of the film, what our studio is, the suggested movie release date, and reviews on the film. I have worked on creating reviews today, which went along smoothly and successfully. I made two personal reviews from two of my friends. I will continue working on the website, though so far it is set up. Another thing I set up for my marketing campaign, was my studio's design. I took a picture of a nicely grouped up bunch of grapes, a tomato, and an apple. I took this picture and put it as my studio's design and the profile picture on my social media accounts and my website. I am thinking I will eventually change it and make it look more professional, though it feels nice to put it.

Then of course, over time I will continue adding content to my marketing campaign. I put all the necessary information for my film and my studio so far, though to make it professional, more content is needed. I also want to engage with my future and my current audience more, so I will be posting and replying to them. I am the director of my studio and the film recorder and I need to create an audience to try to make my film successful. So far I have my website, my main social media accounts, and my email setup for my film and/or studio. By the end of the year, I plan to have my marketing campaign nearly done. This will allow me to move forward on my filming and editing process. Some filming and editing has gone into this process, and I will do more of this in the future as I work on completing my Final Task, my short film!

My Filming Process Over Thanksgiving Break

My Filming Process Over Thanksgiving Break

I had an enjoyable Happy Thanksgiving break. Over the break I did not do any school work at all except on the very first day. I did not film over this break because I was and currently am not in Florida, where my film takes place. Also if I was in Florida, I still would most likely still not film because I would be hanging out with my family and friends the majority of the time. I did think about filming though. As I previously said before in my other blogs, I will most likely film in January. I could definitely film in December a few of the clips and the Fortnite gameplay. It is important to think about my AICE Media A Level Final Task when thinking about school. I am thinking about getting a new phone or maybe a camera to film better.

Yesterday, during Black Friday shopping, I noticed a clip-on microphone, a little bit torn, was on a rack and I wanted to buy it. I know how good these things can be for vlogging and such because I watch a local Florida vlogger a lot. I did not buy it because it has been messed with a little bit. I am planning to buy two of them for me and my brother to have a clean audio for our voices when we film. Not only do I want my film to have good shots, angles, and a good plot, though I want it to look and sound good as well. Having a good phone/camera to record and good microphones to sound clear is pretty important in filming as well.

Overall, I did not make much progress in filming this break. I did do a lot of planning work for filming as I am gathering up what I need to make my film good as time goes by. I hope by the end of December I get some filming done. I definitely will film in January. I am glad I got some thinking on filming and that I have my mind going upwards on my final task.

Storyboard for Short Film

                                                             Storyboard for Short Film

I finished my storyboard for my short film. It took me around three days to finish. A few of the panels have the transitions in the next panel which seems fine to me. The drawings are not that good though I feel they are acceptable. I put in a lot of information for my panels individually. I really went in depth with my descriptions and I did my best for my drawings. I feel like I am doing much better with this and this truly will help me. The two characters are drawn very similarly, though Andreas has a black shirt on. Peter on the other hand has a white shirt on. The characters can be confused though I hope they can be told apart.

This storyboard was far longer than last year's story board and I am so glad I am able to finish it. I thought it would only take me 10 pages to finish it. Then according to my screenplay, I needed one more page. I have 11 pages in total for my storyboard. Each panel is not rushed and I feel like it can help somebody tell what is going on. The transitions and the way I designed it is very good. I put a lot of my work into thinking how it will really look like. I am glad this is done so I can now film. I thank Cambridge for this work. I will now move on with my short film. This storyboard is complete and ready!

Planning for short film

 Planning for short film

Hello and I will be talking about all the general planning topics I need to cover for my short film in this blog! First up is the schedule, and though I do not have the exact date, I can cover over the general time. My filming can start as early as in December, though it will most likely take place during the month of January. I can record some of the game play clips before hand so that I can be ready to just record us pretending and/or actually playing the game later. Then, the location of the filming and the short film will take place at my house. The majority of the film or all of the film will be recorded in my room.

The participants have been decided already, and the participants will be me and my brother. My brother really likes the idea of doing it, which is something I want my brother to feel when completing the filming part of the process with me. Next up is the health and safety of my short film. There are no health and safety risks involved whatsoever. We will simply be playing Fortnite in my room, maybe even doing something else to lead up to us playing Fortnite.

Next I will be talking about the props in my short film. The props in my short film will be my PC setup that I will be playing on and the Xbox One setup my brother will be playing on. I did say in my screenplay that our desks will be messy, so we can include soda cans, food, papers, and clothes on our desks as props to make it look messy. More props that we will be using are our smart phones to talk to people online and to be notified that we were invited to play in the tournament. Then I will be finally talking about our costumes for the short film in this blog. The costumes are typical costumes that people usually wear when in their houses. We will be wearing casual clothes like t-shirts and short pants. There will be no excessive accessories involved, though me and my brother wear necklaces and bracelets so we will most likely not be taking those off, though they also add to the casual look. This is my planning blog and I wrote about the general fields I need to cover to move on with my short film project with an idea of how it will be and how it will work out. I had fun planning my short film and I hope this helps me complete my short film project better and with more professionally!

Short Film vs Feature Length Film

Short Film vs Feature Length Film

Hello, in this blog, I will be comparing both versions of the movie 9, the short and the feature length versions! The short film had the qualities of of simple action that the feature length film did not have. In the short film, there was no dialogue in the movie, which made the scenes much more simple, though in the feature film, the entire movie was filled with dialogue. I do prefer the feature film's dialogue over the short film's lack of dialogue, though in some scenes of the short film, it felt more dramatic than some scenes in the feature length film. In the short film, some things felt more realistic that matched the post-apocalyptic world such as the construction of tools, for example the flashlight. The flashlight being created in the short film was more realistic and complex than the flashlight being created in the feature length film.

Now, for the feature length film qualities that the short film did not have was a lack of character development, true plot, and an expansive backstory and setting. There were only three characters being featured in the short film, while the feature length film had all 9 of the rag dolls featured, the Beast, the machine-creating machine, and numerous other machines. The short film did not even go into the backstory and setting of the world, while the feature length film covered everything we needed to know such as the war, how the world ended, and who the creator of the machine-making machine and the rag dolls was and how he contributed to the story even more. Looking closer at the war, the feature length film also had scenes of the rag dolls as they first emerged out on an active battlefield in the middle of the war and how terrible that war was. The scientist who created the machine-making machine decided to place the last of his effort and time into building the rag dolls who all of them together made up his soul, which I believe is such a unique and interesting backstory. Then next up is the animation, it is obvious that the feature length film received a much higher budget and higher quality animation team to produce the film, which still counts as an accomplishment the the feature length film had that the short film did not have.

Overall, I enjoyed the feature length film far more than the short film. The short film did not cover a lot of information, plot, setting, backstories, and character development that the feature length film aced. I love many of the characters and how intense many of the scenes were. It is still very noteworthy how well the special effects were in the feature length film, like all the explosions, flames and the lighting effects. I also like the opening and ending credits of the feature length film, which matched very well with what the original short film had. The ending credits had the names of the production team rising up from the green-glowing, spherical machine in both the short and the long film. In the entirety of the short film and the feature length film, they were both fantastic and completed their jobs, though the feature length film just aced all of the things I would want in a movie. I really enjoyed watching and reviewing the short and the feature length film versions of 9, and truly do think they are both masterpieces for what they have accomplished, I love this movie so much!

Research 9, the feature flm

Research 9, the feature film

Hello, in this blog I will be talking about my impressions of the movie 9, the feature film version that is based off of the short film that has been created by Shane Acker. I first watched the feature film version of 9, which was actually today, and I have a very positive impression on it. At first, I was amazed at how well made and animated this movie is, because I did not expect a feature film based off a short film to turn into such a well produced and animated movie! As a first impression when I first started watching it, I felt that the plot was a little bit lacking in all of the intense action and backstory fields, though as the movie started progressing, the plot and background of the ENTIRE WORLD just grew exponentially! The story of the war, the characters, and the machines are all very intricate. Even though this movie is only 1 hour and 19 minutes long, which felt pretty long at first, was actually very fast paced. As the plot thickened, the action also became bigger and faster, beginning with a few rag dolls trying to survive and hide from a mechanical beast that is hunting them. Then, when they were trying to save rag doll #5, who was taken by the mechanical beast, they encountered the beast again, who was trying to resurrect a machine-building machine that ended up causing the world to end. When they saved rag doll #5 and defeated the beast, the beast was trying to place a glowing spherical machine into the machine-making-machine, which was not known of until soon after. The result of rag doll #9 placing the spherical machine into the machine-making machine made it so that rag doll #5 got his soul absorbed into the spherical machine, and the machine-making machine started moving. Throughout the movie and the entire movie, this new machine was the main and final villain as it tried to create more machines and eliminate the remaining rag dolls, also the character development was especially very high.

First off, #9 has a very special character development as he is the final rag doll made and he is the one who persuaded the other rag dolls to stop hiding in fear of the machines, though as he helped others, he also exposed them to danger, and in the end of the movie, he saved 3 of them. I feel the most character development comes from rag doll #1 as he throughout the majority of the movie, was the one controlled by fear and logic to run away from danger and to save people, though he had a very unique character design that allowed him to control his fear and save rag doll #9. He is the very first rag doll and he most directly represents the personality of the scientist who created all of the 9 rag dolls, who was always interested in the safety of all of the rag dolls, while this did not change at all, the manner of him saving the rag dolls did and has improved. At first, he wanted the rag dolls to hide and stay safe from the machines, then near the end of the movie, once the machine-making machine was just about to absorb rag doll #9's soul, he said "One must be sacrificed", just as he said when he sent #5 out to perish in the beast's territory, and jumped in and sacrificed himself to save #9. This shows another perspective of his true intentions and what part of the scientist's soul he truly is, the one to sacrifice himself to save others. I just now realized this as well, the scientist that created #9 also sacrificed himself, just as #1 did to save #9, creating an even closer connection to their backstories and life.

Then for the special effects, the explosions, fire, and lighting were phenomenal, especially in the end of the movie when 5 of the rag doll's souls were released from the spherical glowing machine and put to rest as they were glowing a beautiful green with many special particle effects.

Finally, the directorial style of the film is fantastic with every scene having a strong purpose and value that all works and flows together to produce this wonderful movie! My impression for the feature film 9 is very positive and I truly do love how creative, meaningful, and action-packed it is, making this movie one of my favorites!

Research 9, the short

 Research 9, the short

Hello and welcome to my blog about my impressions on 9, a short film, produced mainly by Shane Acker. My very first impressions on it on how much the film focuses on visuals and action as it does not have any dialogue at all, making it very attentive to detail, plot, and action. As I have watched the full length film before the short film, I have a very detailed a great understanding of the plot. Now that I watch the original short film, I realize how much of the plot has changed. The plot in this short film features two dolls that try to survive in a post-apocalyptic world with a mechanical beast chasing after them. There is a key and important machine that glows green once activated, and there are two parts to it. Rag doll #5 has one part of the machine, and he gave it to rag doll #9 once the mechanical beast was nearing the both of them. This shows how important the machine was to number #5 as he sacrificed himself to save the machine and rag doll #9. Rag doll #9 went after the beast and lured it into a trap to beat it once and for all, then to retrieve the other piece of the green glowing machine. When both parts of the machine connected, the souls of the 8 rag dolls who passed away appeared and went to their individual graves and disappeared. Then before rag doll #5 disappeared away, he looked and smiled at nodded at rag doll #9. The plot is very straightforward, and the character development is very special.

The character development is shown for mostly rag doll #9 as he is the one who once ran away from the mechanical beast, and then defeated it on his own. Rag doll #5 also has a very special character development as he sacrificed himself for rag doll #9. Once rag dolls #9 and #5 met again, this shows how they truly were friends and that both of their decisions were the correct ones that allowed at least one of them to survive.

The special effects in this movie involve a lot of glowing and fluid shadows and lights. The lighting of this movie is very important because it is what defines the main characters and the good characters aside from the destroyed world and the mechanical beast and monster. The directorial style is one to create a very supportive animation style so that it covers all that the movie needs to have without making it feel cliché in some scenes and to overall create the feelings of action and the theme of "to do". My impression of this movie is positive and supportive because the movie covered the basic plot of a full length movie and you could understand all of the action very well. This movie is very creative, well made, and incredible with its plot.

Genre Choice for Film

 Genre Choice for Film

Hello, in this blog I will be choosing the genre choice for my film that I officially want to use. I am choosing the action/adventure genre for my film! I chose the action/adventure genre because it matches what I want my film to feel like the best! Of course I can add some comedic scenes in the movie, which is what I want to add, though I will be focusing on the action/adventure for the most part for my film.

I was inspired to choose the action/adventure genre out of the three genres I chose to research because the first thing I thought of when thinking of a pitch was action and adventure. To make a film about two brothers working together and succeeding is very action filled and adventurous. The inspiration to continue with this genre is me remembering how me and my brother felt when we watched the Fortnite World Cup video about the winner of this world-wide Fortnite tournament who is nicknamed Bugha. The video is called "Bugha - Stories from the Battle Bus", which features a 16 year old named Bugha in Fortnite as he won $3,00,000 after being recognized as the world's best Fortnite player. This video was so well built and so inspiring that I truly decided to stick with the action/adventure genre. It reflects what I want my film to feel like and how I want to make my film. Seeing a 16 year old work so hard and succeed is truly inspiring, and the video on his success in the Fortnite World Cup inspired me to stick with the action/adventure genre for my film.

The comedy and thriller genres match some parts of what I want in my film, though it is not what I want my films to be and feel mostly about. The action and adventure of the success in my film is what I want to highlight in my film. The story of Bugha winning the Fortnite World Cup inspired me and my brother about how awesome and legendary it is to truly win something that big. This film that I will be making will match exactly what I felt while watching this video, which is what I will accomplish for my film! I did not have to tweak my pitch because my pitch matches my thoughts and ideas that are in my mind for my film. I am choosing the action/adventure genre for my AICE Media A Level Final Task film because it best represents my thoughts and ideas on my pitch and film. Winning a Fortnite tournament is truly remarkable and action packed, and there is an entire adventure from the start to the finish. I will make my film action packed with an adventure story that will remake what the Bugha Fortnite World Cup story made me and my brother feel. I will make my film on two brothers winning a Fortnite tournament together an action and adventure film to make the film the best it can be and the best to make me and my brother feel the best about it together!

Genre Research - Comedy and Thriller

Genre Research - Comedy and Thriller

In this blog, I will be researching the comedy and thriller blogs for my movie! First off, the common CAMS, camera angles, movements, and shots in these genres are eye-level and high angles for the angles. Then for the movements, in comedies, tracking shots and tilts are used very much. Then in thriller movies, tracking shots, pans, along with tilts are used very much as well. Finally for the shots, many wide shots and medium shots are used for comedy and thriller movies, and specifically for the comedy movies, many close ups are used as well.

First on the list, common sounds in the comedy genre are laughing effects and silence, to create a laughable atmosphere. Then for common sounds in thriller, up-beat and long-sounding music tracks are used a lot, especially silence is also used as well.

Second on the list, common CLAMPS in the comedy and thriller genre are city clothing, then bright lighting, the acting has a lot of laughter and smiling in it, then for makeup, natural makeup is very common. Then for props, jewelry and rich cars are used a lot. Then for setting, most films take place in city settings with many people.

Third on the list, common editing in the comedy and thriller genres are very quick transitions, brightening effects, and sometimes adding voice overs for comedic and tense reasons.

Then for example films of comedy movies are Onward and Bad Boys. Another example is Scoob! Example films for thriller films are the Extractions and 21 Bridges.

Next, I love comedy films because of how good they make me feel! I love all the laughter and the jokes, whether they be smart or have cringe effects to them. Then I love them even more because of all the bright jokes and emotions all throughout the movie. Then again I do not like them because dark humor may be involved. Then I love thriller films because they are very cool and exciting with all of the plot twists. I do not like thriller films sometimes because they may be scary and violent, which are things I usually do not like. This is my research blog on the comedy and thriller films, which are both genres I enjoy truly!

Genre Research - Action/Adventure

                                                                Genre Research - Action/Adventure

Hello and welcome to my action/adventure genre research blog and I will be showing my research on the action/adventure blog! I will be going over the action/adventure genre in detail and I will make sure I know all about the action/adventure genre!

First off, I need to know the common CAMS in this genre, which are the common camera angles, movements and sounds. Common camera angles in action/adventure films are eye level and high angles, then common camera movements are tracking shots, tilts, and flash pans. Then finally common camera shots are establishing shots, aerial shots, close ups, and over-the-shoulder shots are all used in action/adventure films.

Second off I need to know the common sounds in this genre, which are intense music soundtracks, running, explosions, and rhythmic sound effects.

Third off, the common MIS-EN-SCENE in the action/adventure genre starting off with clothing have clothes that are usually expensive and are designed to look and function well for fight scenes within the movie. The common lighting in the action/adventure genre is bright such as daylight, a street lamp, searchlights, and car lights. The common acting in this genre is usually fighting, acting serious, talking seriously, and running. Then the common makeup in this genre is natural makeup, then there can be bloody and dirty-looking makeup used when the characters get hurt and and or dirty. The common props used in this genre are very standard, such as jewelry, weapons, and electronic devices. The common settings in this genre are in cities, rural areas, and places with human construction just like banks, hotels, tunnels, and sky rise buildings.

Fourth in line for the action/adventure genre comes the editing, and the common editing in this genre involves quick transitions, adding CGI explosions, and adding other effects to make the movie look better and feel the best.

Some example films of this genre are Mad Max: Fury Road and The Martian. The elements of this genre that I like are how cool and awesome the fights and the action/adventure all feels. It makes you feel hyped up. The elements of the genre that involve people getting hurt and possibly dying does not appeal to me. I do not like a lot of violence usually at all. This genre is very cool. I enjoy action/adventure movies a lot. The research for this genre was very easy to complete since I have a lot of background information on this. This blog highlights all of my research for the action/adventure genre!

Genres I Would Like to Research

Genres I Would Like to Research

Hello and welcome to another blog about my Final Task for my AICE Media Class A level this year! I am now diving into the topic on genres for my film, and my pitch idea has to match these genres. My pitch is about an adventure with two brothers as they work together to overcome a Fortnite tournament and beat it despite them playing on two unique platforms. The obvious genre that comes to my mind is first action/adventure. Then there are two other types of genres that also match the film I have in my mind which are the comedy genre and the thriller genre. These three genres are the genres I would like to research.

First on my list for movie genres, the action/adventure genre is of course about action and adventures. My film from the very pitch describes a course of action and adventure. The action and adventure that are both represented in my pitch comes from two brothers winning a Fortnite tournament, this is the basic plot for my movie. Then I said that the two brothers working together playing on unique platforms, so this is also another source of action and adventure. I would love to research the action/adventure genre because it matches my film so well!

Second on my list for movie genres, the comedy genre is about making the audience laugh and giving everyone a good time. With my film idea in my mind, I can very vividly imagine a comedic movie that involves playing games and having fun. Two brothers that are playing a cartoon shooter game together as they rise up to the top sounds like such a blast and making it comedic is what I exactly intend to to with my film, which is why I would love to research the comedy genre!

Third on my list for movie genres, the thriller genre is to give the audience a feeling of fast pacing and a lot of things to think about. Through a thriller genre, my movie can very well match it because of the tournament and training aspect to my movie. With a tournament, the movie can feel very thrilling as people get moved up the leader boards so that they can win the prize at the top. Then before the tournament happens, there has to be training so that the two brothers will become the best they can be and succeed in the tournament, which both of these examples are why I would love to research the thriller genre!

The top three genres I would like and love to research are the action/adventure, comedy, and the thriller genres. These three genres highlight what I want my movie to be about and what my film will feel like!

Group Blog

                                                                            Group Blog

Hello once again, I will be talking about my group for my Final Task for AICE Media A Level this year! This year, I will not be with anyone for a group as I feel like me working and organizing the majority of the work will advance me to even higher levels of dedication and time-management. I chose to work alone because I want to create something based on what I am thinking mostly, also because of the fact that my partner from last year does not want to work with me this year. I do have other great friends in other classes and periods for AICE Media A level, though I feel like working with them when we are not in the same class may make some things not as convenient for me and for them. I really wished I could have a very great friend of mine to be in one of my classes, though there was no one except for Taylor, who does not want to work with me this year. For my 5 minute Final Task movie, I am going to explore all my possible ideas and plans for my 5 minute Final Task movie. Of course I am going to be using the help of my family and my abundant number of friends to help me record the video, as I did the same thing for my Final Task last year. I am going to be working without a partner from school this year for my AICE Media A Level Final Task, not alone, because I will be working with my family, friends, and God!

I have not worked without a partner in school on a project this large in my entire life so far. This will be a very fun and challenging experience. I especially do have a love for creating things, and creating movies is a very important example of my love for creating things. I do not have plans to have a career based on movie production, even so this Final Task will help me advance enormously in my creative thinking. Last year, when I was working in a group of three total with two other of my great friends for our Music video, I felt that finishing the work took longer than what I expected because we had to create plans to finish and film our project. I went to Young Circle with them one night to film, though I could only stay for 5-15 minutes because my mom was waiting for me at Young Circle because I had other plans to attend to. I made the pace of the filming much faster than what it would have been because my friends invited some other of my friends to help filming and then we all started to chat and hang out. Since I only had a few minutes to film, I filmed as much as I could and to the best of myself. I had to leave them to finish the filming, which they did, and I am very satisfied with what they did. We got a very high score for the music video, which I am very happy we succeeded. Working in a group is always positive and very social, though creating plans with your group takes more time than for example making plans with your family and friends outside of school. This year, I will be completing my Final Task for the AICE Media A Level Cambridge class without a partner in school and with my mind, soul, body, family, friends, and God!

Intro/Welcome Back Blog

                                                               Intro/Welcome Back Blog

This 2020-2021 school year, I am taking AICE Media once again. I am now taking the A level version of AICE Media, and I am very happy to do so. Last year, I really enjoyed AICE Media because it was fun, creative, and challenging. This year, I am looking forward to getting the best grade I possibly can. I am with a smaller class now and I do really like that we get more personal attention for all of the A level students. I also do have my partner who did the Final Task with me last year in this class. We are already starting the Final Task and I am very happy that it is a similar project to the Final Task from last year. The Final Task from this year is simply a complete 5-minute movie about one topic. Now, since I have more experience with creating films, I will complete this year's Final Task the best I possibly can. I am also very grateful that my teacher from last year is the same teacher this year.

I really do like my teacher for AICE Media A level because she is very interacting, fun, and smart. She is honestly one of the best teachers I have ever had. She also gives us bonuses in class such as fun extra credit assignments and chances to have more fun. Starting this year off with online school, school has been easy for me. I really do love online school because it gives you more free time and options. I do hope I go back to school in person because I want to meet my fellow students and teachers. I also want to go to my club meetings in person. I also would love to film my Final Task at school because at school, there are a lot of spots and settings where I can complete my Final Task the best I possibly can. Overall, AICE Media is one of my favorite AICE classes of all time and I will do my best this year just like I did last year. I will do my absolute best this year in AICE Media Studies A level with hard work and especially fun.

Audience and Institution Essay

Audience and Institution Essay
1. Assess the importance of marketing in the media area you have studied.

In the film industry, the production, distribution, and exhibition of a film are all the main components of the film-making process. However, during the distribution component, there is one important factor to keep a keen eye on, and that is marketing. Marketing is one of the most crucial deciding factors to determine a film’s success or not. I feel that marketing is extremely important in the film media area, and if done wrongly, it may very well just make the rest of the main components a waste of effort and time.
First off, marketing plays an important role in helping the film and film industry interact with the audience. For example, for the movie Black Panther, the first appearance of the trailer was during an NBA Finals game. This tactic helped raise lots of awareness because there were many viewers watching the NBA game live, as long with the trailer. This cross promotion helped gain awareness for the movie because of the cross promotion marketing they enacted at the NBA game, where people, and a future audience, already had their eyes peeled and then seen the trailer. Even the singer Kendrick Lamar performed “All the Stars” ft. SZA, which was one of the movie’s soundtrack songs, at a college football national championship match. This is an example of cross promotion and it also helped boost the awareness of the movie. When I heard the ending to Black Panther, I was realizing that I know this song and I thought that that was amazing. Marketing helps the film and film industry interact with the audience.
Next up, to understand how important marketing is, I shall prove it with statistics. For example, Spider-Man: Homecoming had a massive amount of money made shown through box office numbers of $880,166,350 USD made worldwide. This was partly thanks to marketing, which was used through the production of toys and action figures related to the characters in the movie. One key move from the marketing team was that they started the production and distribution of them before the movie came out to create intense hype for the movie even before it came out. They even had synergy with Cinnamon Toast Crunch to advertise the movie through toys that came inside the cereal boxes.
Additionally, Jurassic World is one of the most prominent movies of all time. The movie dominated the box office by become the third largest grossing movie of all time. The movie had a ton of marketing especially through merchandising. They had cross promotion with many companies such as Lego to make toys, Mike and Ike to make Jurassic World themed candy, even Dairy Queen had a blizzard created after the movie, Jurassic World. Even video games and apps were produced for it. When the movie was out and selling in high amounts, I witnessed the large amounts of cross promotion in forms of toys in most stores I went to. Another notable marketing strategy was to make limited edition DVD sets that came with figurines along with posters to make people more invested in purchasing them, then watching the movie. Another interesting and ingenious marketing strategy was creating an Easter Egg Hunt given out on Easter holiday, and was completely online, allowing people an easier chance to try the Easter Egg Hunt out. With this much effort put into marketing, and the results of when the movie came out and made its way into being the third largest grossing movie of all time, there starts to be a connection between two, marketing and success.
Alternatively, an example of how marketing did not save a movie from disaster is the movie Ugly Dolls. With more than 100 promotional products and partners for the movie and STX Entertainment, and the studio launching the movie, claiming all merchandising/licensing rights for toys and other products relating to the movie, the movie was everywhere. However, even with all that marketing, the movie produced an estimated $8.5 million dollars, which was around $2,330 per screen across 3,652 screens on launching day. It was a flop, and it was partly thanks to its release date, which was around Avengers: Endgame, and the movie Pokémon Detective Pikachu releasing 5 days after the release of Ugly Dolls. Marketing is important to a film’s success; however, it cannot be saved only through that, it must have strategic release dates and the movie of course must be good itself. Done differently, the movie Fantastic Beasts had excellent marketing, but was released and produced properly so that it was an enormous hit. It had lots of synergy and cross promotion with other companies such as AT&T, and Google. Plus, it was strategically marketed to be in close relations with the enormous franchise of Harry Potter. Then, Harry Potter fans were attracted to this movie, which is quite a big fanbase, so that boosted views by an enormous number. I realized some similarity since I thought of Harry Potter when I saw the movie trailer and movie. This connection in strategic marketing helped Fantastic Beasts thrive exponentially. Two different movies, both with excellent marketing, but it also depends on the movie, its release date, and how strategically smart the studios behind it was to market their films/movies to determine a movie’s success.
Concluding, marketing is crucially important to a film’s success and just in general how the film is looked at and treated. Marketing in large amounts and strategically correct will almost guarantee a chance at the movie being a hit. However, if done wrong, as proven through an example, can almost completely waste what was used up to make the movie and any other plans made. Marketing, in my opinion, is one of the most important parts of the film media area and it must be done correctly to be used effectively.

Practice Extract Essay 24

Practice Extract Essay 24
When watching the 24 extract, I first had the thought that the author’s/director’s vision on this extract was that it was important and serious. As I kept watching it, I understood more and more of what was going on in the extract, which the theme kept telling me that it was urgent and of great importance. The director’s vision when creating this extract is that it must be straight to the point, highlight the key scenes, and make it scream serious. The director’s vision was to make the extract serious, show urgency, and importance in my opinion after watching it several times.
First off, the very first scene involves the main male actor coming into the dull, dimly lit interrogation room and closing the door behind him. As he does this, he stares directly at the main female actor going to be interrogated with a serious intent. This highlights my opinion of what the director’s vision is, which is to make this extract seem important and urgent. Just them exchanging serious stares at each other show that this must be important and what is going to happen after this is also important. Using close ups, them staring at each other, and the incidental music playing all show the importance of the situation as the suspension builds up.
Next up, the next scene covers the two main actors talking to each other, the main male actor interrogating the main female actor. The serious dialogue they are having along with the small diegetic sounds like footsteps and them moving make the viewers lean on into the importance of their dialogue. This dialogue answers what the extract is about, and the matter at hand is also very urgent since it relates to the president, bombs, and traitors. The repeating close-ups, shot-reverse-shots and the serious dialogue make a finite loop of urgency and importance in the viewer’s minds which is what I imagine the author’s/director’s vision was supposed to be like. As the setting briefly cuts into the camera room, as two people watch them carefully in a dimly lit room makes it more apparent that whatever is happening on in the interrogation room even more important. This scene is the highlight of the author’s/director’s vision before the explosive next scene comes in.
Finally, the last scene shows the main male actor getting angry at the female main actor and begins to ram her chair into the wall behind her and creates dialogue in an urgent serious manner. As he screams and rams her chair into the wall behind her, a split-screen occurs showing the two people from the camera room rushing on over to the interrogation room. This urgent response to this serious incident makes it all more apparent that the author’s/director’s vision was to create a feeling of urgency and importance. Now as the two people come along with security guards and officers to hastily get the main male actor out of the room, the main female actor is left gasping to breathe as she was being choked out of anger. The actor’s vision in my opinion gets confirmed here with the most apparent and vivid things are happening out of urgency and importance of the matter.
In conclusion, I feel that I am right on what the director’s vision is, which is to create a theme of urgency and importance. From the beginning scene, until the end scene, there have been many serious and suspenseful moments that added to the meaning of urgency and importance. The matter at hand that is being discussed (the dialogue), the dim lighting, the close-up shots, the camera angles, the sudden and captivating editing techniques are highlight and help what I think the director’s vision is and what it is trying to produce for the viewers. The right and correct director’s vision in my opinion is that the director was trying to make a theme and feeling of urgency and importance.

Final Task CCR Blog

Final Task CCR Blog
After a long time of producing the movie, part of the final task, me and my partner, Taylor finally finished the CCR for it. We had the idea to highlight what is going on in the current world, which is the coronavirus epidemic, so we filmed it a little bit differently than what I assume the usual CCR would be. Since we are in a state of quarantine, which is held by most people here, is that we both stayed home and filmed the CCR. We filmed the CCR separately, but together. We held a Skype call together and we both answered questions and asked questions to each other. I filmed me asking her questions on my part of the film, and then she filmed asking me question on her part of the film.
She used a camera to film her part on the left of her. I used a phone to film my part with my brother helping to hold it on the right of me. I filmed two questions. Taylor filmed the other two questions.

Then, I answered questions #1 and #3. She answered questions #2 and #4. I felt that the order of the clips for the four questions should be put into order of the questions, which is #1, #2, #3, and #4. Then, I had the feeling that if we are doing each question by swapping the role of who asks the question and answers the question, we should put the order according to roles. Now, it looks like the CCR was edited to be put in order of #1, #3, #2, and #4. Her clips were put first, then mine were. Also the way we actually answered and asked the questions in real time also follows this new order.
This CCR answers questions about our movie opening and I feel that we did an excellent job on this. The quality may not be the best, but I feel the way we honestly answered the questions was great and awesome. I feel like this CCR was answered, questioned, and completed the way it was intended to match our movie opening.

Final Task Blog

Final Task Blog
Below is a Google Slides presentation of my Final Task. The Final Task is a movie opening that me and my partner Taylor have been working on for a few months, since January. I am super glad and happy that it is finally completed, and everything for the most part looks amazing! Due to the decreased amounts of proper communication and socializing between my and Taylor recently, some of my ideas from the storyboard/myself did not come across to her when she was editing the video, but I feel that it definitely is legendary and what we both wanted! Our movie opening features a story of a man, Bruno Bucciaratti, who has supernatural powers to summon his spirit, so then he gets robbed one night. His spirit was out during that time, but was not known to him until the next morning. He got robbed the night before and was supposedly hit by a car. However, due to his spirit being out, instead of him, he was perfectly fine, for the most part. He wakes up to his house robbed and the debt collector coming to his door. The debt collector asks for money that he does not have anymore since he was robbed.

Then Bruno pulls out his spirit and fights the debt collector until he is dead, and pulls him into the house. The sudden cliffhanger there is supported by the flyer originally showcased first after the establishing shot talking about the debt collector and his eviction notice to leave the house. Now with a murder case on his hands, what will happen next? Sadly, there was no more time to put anything other than the featured video and the titles. The titles are the most important thing to put in the movie opening, since it showcases and features important people that were working and were a part of the movie. I felt that Taylor could have edited in some voice overs and included some other clips, but there was not enough time or resources to do so. Regardless, I feel that this movie opening fits well within the crime genre. This is our Final Task and me and Taylor are happy to present it finished and done! I hope that all the effort, time, and motivation we had to put and muster for this project payed off! I am deeply satisfied that I learned a lot of new skills and topics from my time with the AICE Media class and this is our fruit of all of our, mine and Taylor's, hard work!

Music Video Blog

Music Video Blog
Earlier in the school year, I was tasked to make a music video. This Google Slides presentation below contains the music video. The music video features the song, "Hey There Delilah", by Plain White T's. I had the group of Elijah and Zeke with me. I ended up having to record the video. Elijah and Zeke were the actors, and they brought a long a few more friends to help out in the video. The girl in the video was a girl from our old elementary and middle school. We all knew each other, so it was easier to moving. We were filming at Young Circle at night to get the correct setting and time together according to the storyboard. I recorded some parts of the video before I had to go.

This video highlights some of my earlier works in the AICE Media class, and I feel like my filming editing skills definitely improved during the course of making the film. Maybe even my directional guiding skills such as getting people into place to get ready to film and to film. Also being in a group of 3 may be a little bit more challenging to organize. I feel that now, compared to me and Taylor's final movie, this shows the progress I made in this class. I was in a state of rush when filming and editing this music video. When I was filming, I had to finish whatever I could fast since my mother was waiting for me since we had to go somewhere. Then, when I was editing, we had to edit during Study Hall in my Media class, which was not my normal class period and time. There was a chance that no computers were working or were available, so I brought my own. Then the obstacles of transferring the files to my computer, editing, and getting feedback from my group were also there. My music video highlights the improvements, skills, and topic I have learned, gained, and better deeply understood back when me and my group made it, and up until now, with my movie opening.

Commercial Blog

Commercial Blog
Below is a Google Slides presentation highlighting and showing the clips from my commercial. My commercial was the Gatorade commercial. Unfortunately, school has been closed temporarily for the coronavirus epidemic. My completed and finished Gatorade Commercial is on a school laptop and my teacher's school laptop. There is no way of accessing my finished commercial product now. However, I do have some of the clips of my commercial before it was edited, and I hope and pray that this is satisfactory enough to show that I did complete this assignment. Our very first project in AICE Media was to create a commercial for a brand out of a certain few examples of them given. I chose Gatorade since I felt that it was more appealing and attracting to me. I already had ideas of how to create the commercial. However, as time passed, I realized the limitations of my creativity since I had to film at school.

I was working as a solo group for this project. However, this did not limit me to not include other people helping me and being in the commercial according to my teacher. I took advantage of that and asked another group of friends if they could assist/help me. They agreed to this and my friend Zeke was going to be the second actor in my commercial. My storyboard that I created for it only featured two people, so that's how I went with it. We filmed the commercial outside of the school on the track field. I had numerous issues with filming and editing, but I got through with it. Even now, I still have issues with filming and editing my Final Task movie opening video, but they are far more complex than the ones before. As I got my projects and work done throughout the year in AICE Media, I learned and acknowledged my progress. I started off clueless, then worked my way to deciding how to plot a movie, film the opening, and work together better since the time I finished my Gatorade commercial.

Editing Blog: Editing the CCR

Editing Blog: Editing the CCR
Yesterday was the day me and Taylor filmed the CCR. We filmed it separately from our different own houses. We had many scenes we filmed since we messed up on a few of them. Taylor filmed the majority of the Skype call. She also filmed other scenes not on the Skype call. In the end, we had to edit all the good and usable filmed scenes together. Specifically, Taylor was going to edit, which was what I assumed. Earlier today, I asked her about editing the CCR. She said she would edit the CCR later tonight. The CCR could be edited into one big file and video, or into smaller 4 parts.

I think Taylor wanted to go with the 4 smaller parts. She said it would fit better into the blog. Also for the other blogs due tomorrow, she said we should put them in Google Slides is what I remember. Google Slides works to keep the file uploading into the blog and then get ready to get published. I assume Taylor will also use the same video editing software as she used to edit the movie. I wanted Taylor to edit the movie according to the simple guidelines offered by Mrs. Catz. She said there was no more space or room left in the video to include it. I offered to edit the movie, but she really didn't mention it, but said she will put in the establishing shot. I hope she edits the CCR to my liking, though she doesn't have to, since all I care about is getting high marks when working on this. I am glad Taylor is my partner and I wish to succeed along with her on this journey of which we know as the AICE Media class.

Filming Blog: Filming the CCR

Filming Blog: Filming the CCR
Today was a very long day in terms of working. It took me and Taylor two hours to film the CCR. We filmed it in the afternoon in separate houses. We used Skype to video call each other. I did two questions and she did two questions. We both filmed and recorded some of the action. Taylor recorded most of all of the CCR. I recorded only two questions of the CCR that I was asking Taylor the questions of. It took a long time to get things ready and how we were going to get out CCR filmed and stuff. My brother filmed for me and Taylor filmed herself with her tripod.

The Skype call was like an hour and 43 minutes long. Andreas, my brother, was getting annoyed since I kept telling him to get ready and film. However, the majority of the time it was just a mistake since I didn't plan the thing to film the CCR right. We did a lot of doing many re-shoots since I answered the wrong answers, Taylor asked the question wrong, and Taylor answered the question wrong. We finally concluded and decided to edit different scenes of the same question that were good. This was to save time and to make it look like we put more effort into it, the editing. The quality of the film was good and stuff. We were all right with this, and I think we got a good CCR to go with a good score. I pray that this CCR covered all we needed. I am glad we filmed it today since we did not have much time left to film the CCR.
